The KUU pendant, which means "moon" in Finnish, was designed to offer both direct and indirect lighting by simply rotating its inner circle. The rotation angle is limitless due to a cordless connection that allows electricity to flow between the parts.
The inspiration behind the KUU pendant was atmospheric illumination. The creator desired to create a lamp that could be adjusted from direct to indirect lighting, catering to the diverse needs we have for light throughout the day. The adjustable nature of the lamp gives it a constantly changing silhouette, forming different sizes of crescents and round shapes that are reminiscent of the moon's various forms.
