After reading some reviews, I was pleasantly surprised how nice this lamp looks. Not flimsy, more substantial than expected. And yes, it does stand straight if you know what you are doing. I will agree that I wish it was brighter as it is the only light for the guest bedroom and it is kinda dark in there.

Great option for being more light into a corner. At first I wished the bamboo shade was larger but changed the corner I placed lamp in where there was less room and it works perfect in this location, looking stylish.

Came well packed and assembly was pretty straightforward and obvious. Took all of maybe 10 minutes to put together. It's a very cute lamp for the price. It was the finishing piece to my reading space.
