I saw this lamp when I was invited to my cousin's house. I loved it and ordered one before I got home. It is perfect for guests and looks elegant on a table instead of a candle.

This is one of those types of things you didn't really know you really needed until you have it. It's very convenient! It sits on a small table by my back door, and I move it in and out of the house to use on my patio table where we sometimes eat dinner, then carry it back into the house and set it back down where it sits and looks nice. I like the light that it puts off, and it adds a romantic vibe, so even in bad weather sometimes I pick it up and set it on the dining room table which is just adjacent to the back door and the lamp, and it makes a nice cozy light to eat dinner by. Love it!

The lamps I received were a very very shiny yellow gold brass, not the aged-brass shown in the photos on this site. Also, the dome shade that came with the lamps is not as deep as the shade shown in the pictures. The area the the lightbulb screws in is very tight and difficult to get the actual lightbulb to touch the bottom so that it turns on. There is no button on the side of the column (I assume to turn the lamp on and off) as pictured in the photos.
