I used this lamp to light up a dark corner in my small living room. This lamp is exactly what I needed. It has a warm, soft light so it's not too bright at night.

Great lamp, very unusual, nice combination of design and textures. For my needs I wish it had been taller, but I measured in advance and knew it was 18.5 inches tall and purchased it anyway. No fault of the product whatsoever. I will keep it though as I love the look and the height I can deal with. Do not hesitate on this purchase.
